OneOcean, the newly unveiled global brand from Lloyd’s Register (LR), is delighted to be a Platinum Sponsor for Crew Connect Global 2025 (11-13 November), the world’s leading marine crewing conference that brings together maritime leaders, crewing managers, stakeholders in maritime education and training, ship operators, maritime regulators, and technology innovators alongside cadets and serving seafarers.

OneOcean’s presence highlights the company’s commitment to a ‘people first’ approach with Human Capital Management as a core pillar of its integrated maritime solutions portfolio. In addition to its sponsorship, OneOcean will lead discussions at the event with key speakers contributing to talks on decarbonisation, digital literacy, and training technology.

Formed through the integration of LR OneOcean and Ocean Technologies Group, OneOcean combines digital and training solutions to create a seamless ecosystem for maritime operations. The new brand brings together the industry’s most advanced voyage compliance and crewing capabilities under a single identity, building on the trusted expertise of both companies and spanning five product areas: Human Capital Management, Technical Ship Management, Governance, Risk and Compliance, Voyage Planning and Management, and Voyage Performance and Optimisation.

Crew Connect Global is held annually in Manila, reflecting the Philippines’ position as the world’s largest seafarer supplying nation. The event is the leading forum for industry professionals to explore workforce trends, technological innovation, and sustainability challenges shaping the future of shipping.

During the conference, OneOcean team will engage with stakeholders, listening to their needs and explaining how the company’s unified portfolio connects people, performance, and technology across ship and shore, delivering real-time visibility, compliance support, and operational efficiency for shipowners, operators and seafarers alike.

Catherine Logie, Head of Learning and People Strategy, OneOcean will join two key discussions, firstly exploring the industry-wide challenge of decarbonisation in the Decarbonisation and Energy Transition panel, from 14:50–15:45 on Tuesday 11 November.  During the panel, she will examine the outcomes from MEPC 83, the wider impact and likely implications for crewing, seafarers and training.

Secondly, in the session Seafarers Connected – Episode 4: Digital Literacy – Opportunities and Toll on Seafarers on Wednesday 12 November, 11:45 –12:05, Catherine and two serving seafarers will consider the growing importance of digital literacy in modern seafaring. They will discuss the balance between opportunity and digital fatigue, and how enhancing seafarers’ digital skills contributes to career growth, wellbeing, and long-term workforce resilience.

In addition, Sanjeev Mathur, Senior Vice President, APAC, OneOcean will join a panel examining Training Technology: Back to Basics, 14:55 – 15:35 on Wednesday, 12 November, where he will address the industry’s ongoing challenge of balancing technological advancement with seafaring competencies.

“Crew Connect provides an invaluable platform to engage with our peers, partners, and customers as we explore how innovation and human capital can shape a safer, smarter, and more sustainable future for seafarers worldwide.
