Challenge
During day-to-day operations, our main challenge is having a limited ENC library for voyage planning. There is a higher chance of human error when ordering the correct number of ENCs as it’s common to either have more than needed or miss some of them completely.
Solution
The solution was to use OneOcean’s Pay As You Sail (PAYS). Having a world library at your fingertips dramatically decreases the chance of human error. PAYS helps to contain the order of unnecessary ENCs and helps with accurate passage planning. In the case of last-minute itinerary changes, PAYS allows us to be fully prepared and have all the charts required for safe planning and passage.
Results
PAYS has helped our day-to-day operations, reduced human error and it allows us to be extremely efficient in safe passage planning.
